BALLETMET 45 YEAR ANNIVERSARY

45Years_WebImages_Logo.png

While working with BalletMet, I was asked to create a logo for their 45th anniversary, along with their other standard season collateral. After some research and brainstorming with my coworkers, I found that the 45th anniversary is the sapphire anniversary, so we decided to work with different shades of blue for the season. I wanted to incorporate the number 45 in the logo, without affecting the integrity of the original logo.

The first image to the left was the final version of the logo, with the original logo and the integrated '45 Years' to the left of it. I included the different shades of blue we had decided on, as well as a gradient from the light to dark blue on the 'Years' text to show the progression of the organization.

Other first drafts are shown below, I tried out different ways to combine the letters, as well as different typefaces. The final logo used BalletMet's main typeface, Proxima Nova, but I also experimented with some serif typefaces as a sort of nod back to the original Ballet Metropolitan Columbus logo, with was a script font. The directors wanted a clean, minimal logo so we decided to keep everything in one typeface, with the '45 Years' part sitting in line with the base of the BalletMet box logo.

45th Anniversary Season Brochure

One of the other main projects of a season launch for BalletMet is their season brochure. For the 45th season, we held a photoshoot with 6 of the dancers, all wearing blue and glammed up with some jewelry for the women. We used those images for the cover of the brochure, as well as through the season on social media, subscriber emails, and other print collateral. We kept the blue theme going throughout the brochure, with the back of the brochure in the chosen shades of blue.

For the inside of the brochure, we chose an image to represent every show, and included the title, dates, and summaries of each show underneath. I used a blue gradient line underneath the show images to represent time moving from show to show.
